Chaplain – Chaplaincy Department

  • 1. Working hours:
    • 44 hours per week
    • Need to work at evening time, on Sundays and public holidays when required

  • 2. Job Duties:
    • To develop and nurture the children, youths, alumni and staff
    • To plan and lead the team to work on Christianity education
    • To build the network with different churches, do church referrals and share the vision of our organization with outsiders
  • 3. Education and experience:
    • Recognized Bachelor degree of Theology
    • Need to have organizational and leadership skills; good at preaching, teaching and caring
    • To encourage the staff in participating services and have team spirit; candidates with relevant experience are preferred
             
  • 4. Salary:
    • Medical allowance and MPF
    • Salary depends on academic qualifications and relevant work experience

10 Years – from Project 2Rs to 3R

Looking back at the past 10 years, this Project has undergone a metamorphosis from 2Rs to 3R (Note 1).
As a pioneer project of wholistic care for children and youth in residential homes, the Committee Board Members and Superintendents of three agencies including Evangel Children’s Home, Precious Blood Children’s Village and Sisters of the Good Shepherd formulated proposals and procedures, looked for cooperation partners and funders to help support this project. Their vision to extend such all-rounded care to the 4,000 admitted residential children in Hong Kong still exist.
