cultivate them with well-rounded and healthy personal development.<\/li><li>To develop their social skills, self-care ability for their future independent life in the society.<\/li><li>To cultivate children&#8217;s moral education and spiritual growth.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Capacity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>81<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Service Users<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>6-18 years old orphans and children and youth from broken and difficult families (e.g. cases of divorced parents, illness, death and inability to take care of children, violence, abuses, abandonment and environment.<strong><\/strong><\/li><li>Supervise&nbsp;their daily routine and self-care training.<\/li><li>Pay attention to children\u2019s emotional, behavioral, psychological, and interpersonal development.<\/li><li>Provide counseling and tutorial assistance to children in need.<\/li><li>Develop case plan for every child to cater for their individual needs.<strong><\/strong><\/li><li>Organize interest classes to develop their talents and to build up their confidence.<\/li><li>Organize recreational activities and social gatherings to enhance their interpersonal skills.<\/li><li>Religion activities to facilitate children\u2019s spiritual growth.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>4 Houses<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We provide family-like environment for the children.&nbsp;The children are assigned to different houses according to their age group as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Casework<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To cater for children\u2019s mental growth and developmental needs, the Case Conference is&nbsp;arranged regularly with children&#8217;s parents or guardians, social workers and school teachers. An individual growth plan is worked out for their holistic growth and development in different areas, such as emotions, social skills and academic performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Religious Education<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We value Christian education, through evening prayers and a variety of religious activities, children\u2019s spiritual growth can be fostered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Financial Support<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Service funding mainly comes from the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Social Welfare Department<\/li><li>The Community Chest of Hong Kong<\/li><li>Donation from churches, charitable foundations and general public<\/li><li>ECH Sponsorship Program \u2013 to improve children\u2019s living and education quality<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Method of Application<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All our intake of children is referred by social workers of the Social Welfare Department or NGOs, through the Central Referral System for Residential Child Care Services of the Social Welfare Department. Interviews will be arranged by Evangel Children\u2019s Home for assessment.\u3002<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Fees<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Residential fee is waived. &nbsp;However, parents, guardians or relatives are responsible to pay for the child\u2019s daily needs, medical and miscellaneous expenses incurred in schooling, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Service Termination and Withdrawal<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior case conference is arranged for discussion collectively with social workers and the family members or guardians.
